“Those who stay will be champions!”

No Tie Office HREric Hanford is a decisive marketing executive and sought-after consultant—with both business to business and direct to consumer experience—who has delivered billions in sales revenues through informed marketing, branding, and business development strategies. Respected for his principled, level-headed leadership, for over 18 years Eric has brought quality products to market that address the “voice of the customer” and positioned these products competitively.

As a Senior Marketing Manager for Covidien, Eric led the creation of a customer-centric strategy that resulted in overachievement of their revenue and earnings budget. A proactive, early-adopter of innovative technology, he dramatically improved the customer experience on several Covidien product lines by pioneering imaging iPad apps. Eric’s early career, developing managed care on a national scope (44 states), taught him how to partner with physicians, hospital CEOs, and boards to understand their goals. This experience led to his being recruited by Baxter Healthcare to focus on their end-stage renal disease business when reimbursement was thought to be moving from Medicare to commercial payment. Eric managed peritoneal dialysis during his tenure with Baxter before being recruited by a former colleague to Genzyme Genetics to manage their prenatal testing program and launch an industry-first Internet reporting system.

A teacher and mentor at heart, he thrives on ongoing professional development and leveraging this to take his game to the next level and adapt to current marketing tactics, new technologies, and changing regulations. Eric earned his MBA and Master of Public Health from Illinois Benedictine College, Master of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University, and an Executive Scholars Certificate of Marketing from Kellogg School of Management. He has taken additional marketing and management courses from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Harvard professors, and professional associations. Eric enjoys sharing his expertise in strategic marketing, including segmentation, targeting and extracting pertinent information from data and using it to formulate an effective course of action. He’s also known for motivating those he works with cross-functionally.

Growing up with a love of team sports, Eric has coached kids and adults, is a fan of University of Michigan football, and supports academic success and character building through perseverance. Eric currently resides in Greater St. Louis with his wife, daughter, and golden retriever.
